This month brings a host of fun activities for children and youth at the Meaford Public Library.
Bite Me! is a new program of cooking for teens. Running for six weeks from May 17 to June 21, each Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. teens will have an opportunity to prepare simple recipes together with friends. There is no charge for this deliciously fun program and all supplies will be provided.
So come to the Junior Library on Thursday, May 17 at 4 p.m. for the first Bite Me! session and remember to bring your appetite!
Parents can learn about childhood literacy at the library’s program Every Child Ready to Read on Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m. in the Junior Library. At this Parent Workshop, parents can discover how to help little ones develop the skills they will need to succeed in school and have fun in the process. This workshop is for parents and caregivers of children under six years of age. There is no charge and no registration required.
And for your canine friends, on Saturday, May 26 at 11 a.m., we will be creating dog biscuits in the Junior Library. PetValu will partner with the library to make simple dog treats for our furry friends. There is no charge, all supplies are provided, and no registration required.
