The Meaford Chamber of Commerce has announced the nominees for this year’s Community Awards.
“This year we took in 55 nominations, recognizing 46 different people/groups/businesses across our eight award categories,” said the Chamber.
Businesses nominated are: 365 Sports, Amici, Barbetta Orchards, Beautiful Joe Heritage Society, Cliff Richardson Boats, Coffin Ridge, Duxbury Cider, E&R Bulk Bin, Georgian Bay Frauxmagerie, Gardhouse Financial, Gardiner Wilson, Georgian Bay Sail, Howard’s Greenhouse, Knight’s Home Building Centre, Knight’s of Meaford Hockey Team, MacDonald’s Furniture, Maia Papaya.ca, Meaford Refugee Welcoming Committee, New Orleans Pizza, Perogie Palace, Razor It Up, Rice’s Home Hardware, Ride on Bikes, Roots, Ryan’s Repairs, Storybook Park, Ted’s Range Road Diner, The Kitchen, The Shoe Tree, This & That Vendor’s Market, Widows/Widowers Coffee Break, and Wind Swept Cider.
Individuals nominated are: Al and Janine Nesbitt, Bill Monahan, Georgie Donais, Henry Reinders, Justin Perks, Louise Stewart Potts, Marilyn Morris, Rod McAlpine, Ross Kentner, Sarah Sedore, Sean and Michelle Crooks, Shannon-Lee Wilkie, and Ted and Joan Brown.
The awards will be handed out April 7 at the 20th Annual Community Awards Gala event that is once again being held at the Meaford Community Centre. Tickets for the event are available from the Chamber office at 13 Nelson Street West or the Shoe Tree.
