The Meaford Kiwanis Club made a donation and presented it to the Foundation on March 13 in the amount of $5,000.
Helen Hume, Randy Breadner, Gord Breadner, and Wayne Challis from the Meaford Kiwanis Club presented the cheque to John Leckie of The Meaford Hospital Foundation.
The Meaford Hospital Foundation was established to raise, receive, and manage money for the purpose of purchasing capital equipment and building improvements at the Meaford Hospital. This funding role is critical to the hospital’s viability since the government provides few funds for capital purchases.
“We are thankful for the support of our community organizations, businesses, and individuals,” said Jen Wright, Executive Director. “Without our community, our hospital wouldn’t be what it is today.”
