On Wednesday, February 24, 2015 at approximately 9:56 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a dangerous driving complaint after a person was nearly struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Georgian Bay Secondary School located on Eliza Street, Meaford, in the Municipality of Meaford on Tuesday, February 23rd.

Despite having been warned regarding his driving habits, the driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer operated the vehicle in a dangerous manner by doing donuts and fishtailing in the school parking lot while students were boarding school buses.  The parking lot was snow covered and ice packed at the time.

The driver, an 18 year old Meaford resident, has been charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, March 26, 2015.
