The police services of Grey County will be working together at Festive R.I.D.E. locations this month.

On December 8, December 10, and December 15, members of the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Owen Sound Police, Hanover Police and West Grey Police will be conducting R.I.D.E. checks at various locations in Grey County.

The Grey County police officers are working together to send a unified message that impaired driving represents a threat to public safety that won’t be tolerated.

Motorists are reminded that the impaired driving charge includes both alcohol and drug impairment. The risks are the same, the penalties are the same, and both are unacceptable.

Drive sober or don’t drive at all; let’s give everyone a chance to arrive safely at their destination.

The Grey County OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.crimestoppersgb.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
