On November 26, 2016 at approximately 5:26 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a lost firearm in the vicinity of Side-road 25 between Grey Rd. 112 and the 11th Line in the Municipality of Meaford.
The firearm, described as a Traditions, 50 caliber, black powder Buck Stalker rifle, equipped with a Bushnell scope, was inside a soft camo pattern rifle case. The firearm was lost after the owner had left it on top of the tonneau cover of his pickup truck and inadvertently drove away. Police were notified after the owner had returned to the area in an effort to locate the firearm without success.
