Dear Editor,
The numbers clearly show that the Owen Sound Public Library is ripping off Meaford with its outrageous fees that allow Sydenham citizens access to the Owen Sound library.
As you point out, this is the same situation that was punted by Meaford Council a few years ago. When the Council capitulated then they clearly gave the message to Owen Sound that Meaford was not prepared to terminate this extortion.
To no one’s surprise, however, we are back at it again. I’m sure that Owen Sound fully expects Meaford to roll over again since they did so previously.
“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me” Wise words. Hope that our Council takes this to heart.
