Celebrate Ontario Public Library Week at the Meaford Public Library

Staff

Come join in the fun at the Meaford Public Library as we celebrate Ontario Public Library Week. From Tuesday, October 18 to Saturday, October 22, there will be many free activities and events for all to enjoy.

Throughout the week we are providing free coffee, treats, popcorn, and you can have your photo taken at the photo booth. Also during this week, you can donate a nonperishable food item to have $1 removed from your library fines.

You can attend a session on collecting rare books or one on writing for adults, plus we will have a Friends of the Meaford Library appreciation night and a party at the Sydenham Centre.

On Saturday morning, the Junior Library and Pet Valu will host Paws for the Cause. There will be two dogs visiting the library. Register to spend a 20-minute session reading to a canine friend!

The week wraps up with Georgian Bay Reads at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 at Meaford Hall. This is a free battle of the books event but a ticket is required. Pick up yours today at the Meaford Public Library.

Ontario Public Library Week is held annually in October. It is a province-wide campaign to raise awareness of the valuable role public libraries play in the community.
