Local students aren’t the only ones saying goodbye to summer as September approaches. Meaford’s 55+ Friendship Club, which takes the months of July and August off, will return to their regular business on Tuesday, September 6 at 2:00 pm at the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre.
Among the club’s planned activities for the coming months will be a bus trip to Toronto on September 22 to see a performance of Cirque de Soleil.
In addition to group outings, throughout the year the club will have guest speakers to discuss topics of interest to seniors, game days where some members can play bridge, euchre, Scrabble, or other games of their choice.
If you would like to join the 55+ Friendship Club, you can stop by the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre any Tuesday at 2:00 pm, and you’ll receive a warm welcome.
