Meaford Mayor Barb Clumpus along with municipal staff are holding an opening celebration at the new Sydenham Centre on Thursday, June 23.

Since the beginning of May, the Municipality of Meaford has been offering municipal services at the Sydenham Centre every Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Formerly the Sydenham Depot, the building at the corner of Highway 26 and Grey Road 11 underwent renovations earlier this year. These improvements allowed the establishment of municipal services based on a one year pilot schedule. Services include accepting cash or cheque payments for taxes and utilities, purchasing dog tags and bag tags, and completing rec program registrations, facility bookings and commissioning documents.

The public is invited to visit the Sydenham Centre to share refreshments, see the renovations and learn more about the municipal services being offered.

We believe this one year pilot project is a reflection of our commitment to municipal services,” said Mayor Barb Clumpus. “It is a great way to provide better outreach and engagement to this area of the Municipality”.
