On April 30, Grey County OPP received a report of a 2004 Honda Civic vehicle in the ditch on the 7th Line near the 10th Sideroad in the Municipality of Meaford.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 25 year-old Meaford man was charged with careless driving.
Police seized drug paraphernalia and ‘liquid codeine’ from inside the vehicle.
Further to that investigation, on May 6 Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged the vehicle’s passenger, an 18 year-old Meaford man, with unlawful possession of Schedule I Drug – Codeine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
He is scheduled to appear in court on June 23 in Owen Sound.
