November has arrived, and in Meaford that means that the annual BIA Christmas Window Unveiling is fast approaching.
This year marks 26 years of the popular event, and it will take place on Saturday November 21, starting at 6 pm when the downtown businesses will remove their window coverings to reveal their holiday displays.
Five judges will visit all of the BIA Businesses and vote for the winning window.
As in previous years, there will be plenty of entertainment and activities for the whole family, even the family pooch.
There will be an opportunity to get a family photo with Santa for only $10. The kids will enjoy Klash the Clown, craft tents, a Fishing Challenge, Scavenger Hunt and The Grinch.
There will also be live Christmas music, performed by The Browns, carolling by the Goldenaires and the annual businesses versus service clubs chili tasting contest.
Meaford’s own Town Crier will be on the street announcing all the activities, so you will not miss a thing including the return of the Beat the Goalie contest.
Outdoor events in chilly November temperatures can bring on some hunger. When that hunger hits, there will be a BBQ as well as French Fries and Apple Bites.
Make sure you stick around for Tyler Boyle’s GROOVE, as he leads everyone in keeping warm with dancing in the streets. At 7:45 pm you will not want to miss a stunning fire performance!
