On Sunday, October 25, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possibly impaired driver operating a 2006 Chrysler 300 vehicle southbound on Sykes Street South, in the Municipality of Meaford.

The suspect vehicle was observed ‘clipping’ a parked pick-up truck on Sykes Street South and then hitting the street curb as it continued travelling south on Sykes Street.

Police stopped the vehicle on Grey Rd. 7 near Grey Rd. 40 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested for impaired driving and taken to the Meaford OPP detachment for breath tests, which he failed.

The 32 year-old man from Collingwood has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 milligrams.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on November 12, 2015.
