Apple Harvest Craft Show Supports Hope Haven

Staff

horsebackLast week, representatives from Meaford’s Apple Harvest Craft Show met staff at Hope Haven Therapeutic Riding Centre to view the facilities and to learn more about the use of their recent donation.

Funds from the Apple Harvest Craft Show are being used by the popular organization to purchase much-needed equipment for one of their special therapy horses. Hope Haven provides riding lessons and programs for individuals with disabilities. Their programs are tailored to provide a safe environment where riders can explore their capabilities and have fun learning while experiencing the thrill of equestrian riding.

“We are extremely appreciative of the local support we are receiving from the Apple Harvest Craft Show. This donation will play an important role in helping Hope Haven continue its work. Ensuring that our horses have the proper equipment means that we are protecting their wellness and making sure that the rider has an optimal experience,” said Hope Haven representatives.

Hope Haven is more than a Therapeutic Riding Centre, it helps lead to the development of lifelong skills and practices that improve physical fitness, build confidence, and promote self-respect.

The Apple Harvest Craft Show has become one of the largest in southern Ontario, attracting close to 200 artisans and crafters. Proceeds from the annual Apple Harvest Craft Show are donated to a number of community projects. For more information, visit www.appleharvestcraftshow.com.
