Reader Expresses Support For Love

Letter to the Editor

Editor,

Re: Vote For The Individual (September 25 editorial)

It isn’t always an easy choice. Sometimes the best-qualified candidate in the local riding belongs to a party that doesn’t allow MPs to have a true voice to represent their constituents.

That’s why, even if Larry Miller were the best candidate, he cannot represent our interests in a party that puts ideology ahead of everything else and is very firm about not welcoming input.

In this election, as you highlight in your article about Kimberley Love’s visit to the 55+ Club, only one party, the Liberals, has vowed to allow free votes, giving their MPs a real ability to actually speak for their constituents. Luckily for us, if you take a close look at the qualifications of the four candidates in our riding,

Kimberley Love comes out well ahead by any standard. Anyone who has heard her speak or investigated her background can clearly see that. Don’t take my word for it. Go to the debate on October 1 at the Bayshore Arena and, if you’re not blinded by partisanship, you will see for yourself who will best serve our riding.

Bill Monahan, Meaford
