Intoxicated Man Causes Disturbance

On Tuesday, April 8, at approximately 8:19 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was requested to assist Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) with an intoxicated male who had fallen and injured himself on Nelson Street West in Meaford.

Police say that the man was known to be aggressive. 

After being treated and released from hospital, the male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.  He was lodged at the Chatsworth OPP Detachment then taken to the Owen Sound hospital via ambulance after complaining of chest pains.

Further investigation revealed that the male had caused a disturbance by yelling and urinating in public and was subsequently charged with causing a disturbance.

The 41 year old from Neyaashiinigming First Nations, is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, May 29, 2014.
