On Thursday, August 6, at approximately 11:31 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision on Hwy. 26 in the Municipality of Meaford. The involved vehicle, a 1999 BMW convertible, was being driven westbound on Hwy. 26, west of the 12th Line, when the driver lost control of the vehicle while attempting to merge lanes.
The vehicle crossed the eastbound lane and entered the ditch on the south side of Hwy. 26. The driver was not injured.
The 64 year old Meaford man was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Change Lane – Not in Safety under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
