Meaford Man Charged With Impaired After Revving Motorcycle

motorcycle throttleOn Wednesday, July 01, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a noise complaint as a result of a male, believed to be impaired, sitting on a motorcycle and revving the engine outside of his apartment.

Police attended the parking lot of the Stone Tree Apartments located on Hwy. 6 & 10 in the Municipality of Meaford and determined that the suspect had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and taken to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests, which he failed.

The 29 year-old Meaford man was charged with impaired care and control, and having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system. His 1986 Kawasaki ZX6 motorcycle was impounded for seven days.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, July 23.
