Country/blues/folk rock band Cowboy Junkies will be performing live in Meaford next month. Presented by Inside the Music, Cowboy Junkies will be performing at Meaford Hall on July 26.
For more than twenty-five years, the legendary Cowboy Junkies have remained true to their unique artistic vision and to the introspective, quiet intensity that is the band’s musical signature, creating a critically acclaimed body of work that has endeared them to an audience unwavering in its loyalty.
Albums like The Trinity Session (1988), The Caution Horses (1990), Black Eyed Man (1992), Pale Sun, Crescent Moon (1993), and more recently, four volumes of Nomad Series (2010-2012) and The Kennedy Suite (2013), chronicle a creative journey reflecting the independent road the band has elected to travel.
The band, featuring Margo Timmins, Michael Timmins, Peter Timmins, and Alan Anton has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages and appeared on countless major television shows in North America, from Saturday Night Live to Late Night with David Letterman and the Tonight Show. As well, the group’s music has been featured in dozens of television programs and feature films.
