On Friday, June 13, at approximately 7:44 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a mischief report.  A motorist attended the Chatsworth Detachment reporting that his 2013 GMC pick-up truck was damaged after he had driven the vehicle through orange paint on Grey Rd. 18, approximately 1.5 km east of Rockford, in the Municipality of Meaford.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. on June 13, someone had thrown a glass jar containing bright orange paint onto the east bound lane of Grey Rd. 18.  The jar smashed, causing the paint to splatter over the road, leaving not only the paint, but broken glass as well.

Several vehicles had driven through the orange paint, causing paint splatter to the under carriage of the vehicles, the sides and wheels.

Police believe this act of mischief was planned and deliberate, as a similar incident involving red paint occurred in the same vicinity just over a year ago.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
