On Monday, May 19, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a Meaford resident reporting that he had been threatened by a neighbour.

The victim was sitting on his porch on Parker Street West in Meaford, when his neighbour drove past him in his vehicle and uttered that he was going to kill him.

At 7:14 p.m., police attended the scene and, while speaking with the victim, the accused exited his residence and yelled at the victim, “I’m going to knife you!”

The 52 year old Meaford man was subsequently arrested for two counts of uttering threats.  He was held pending a bail hearing.  His next court appearance is scheduled for June 12, 2014.
