December 8, 1930 – June 2, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annie Effie Watterworth, Effie as she was known by many. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 2, 2023. She was 92 years old. She was pre-deceased by her husband Leroy Watterworth and her beloved daughter Cindy Lee McCulloch (Tom). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Shannon (Guy), Candy (Steven Sr), Crystal, Brooke, and Tommy (Erica). She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Steven Jr, Calub, Gabrielle, Madison, Emily, Kassandra, and Justin.
Effie gladly gave up her free time to volunteer at many nursing homes in Meaford and Toronto and loved working at the Tuck shop, while sharing her quick wit and sense of humour with everyone she met; she was always able to keep people smiling!
We take comfort in knowing she is now with our Mom and Grandfather, and they are all watching over us. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 2 p.m., and a Celebration of Life will follow at 4 p.m. at the Collingwood Legion, 490 Ontario Street.
