A Virtual Public Information Centre will be held on January 12, at 4 p.m., in order to present information to Meaford residents about an upcoming reconstruction of Sykes Street North.
The Municipality of Meaford intends to reconstruct Sykes Street North, between Lombard Street and Collingwood Street, commencing in the spring of 2021. The project, as proposed, includes the following works:
- reconstruction of approximately 250 metres of road;
- replacement of concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk;
- improvements to the sanitary and storm sewer systems;
- improvements to the watermain system; and
- full reinstatement of all areas disturbed during construction (driveways, boulevards, etc.)
Representatives from the Municipality and Tatham Engineering will be presenting details about the project and associated design and construction matters. Attendees will be provided with specific information on the following:
- project design progress;
- project schedule;
- construction impacts; and
- detours and staging.
The PIC will begin at 4 p.m. with a presentation by the consultants, followed by an open question and answer period. Both staff and consultants will be pleased to discuss and answer any questions you may have about the project and impacts to your property/business.
