June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the 2SLGBTQI+ community and their important contributions to society. Pride Month is an opportunity to raise awareness, promote equality, and support the 2SLGBTQI+ community. This year, the municipality will be flying the inclusive pride flag in Market Square and lighting the water tower with the colours of the rainbow.
“The Municipality of Meaford believes that everyone should be free to express themselves and love who they choose, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity,” said the Municipality. “We encourage all members of the community to join us in celebrating Pride Month and to stand with us in solidarity with the 2SLGBTQI+ community.”
