Save the Bay Polar Dip Organized For February 27

The Save Georgian Bay volunteer team is networking with communities across Southern Georgian Bay to raise awareness about the potentially negative impacts of TC Energy’s proposed hydroelectric pumped storage project in Meaford.

They are hosting the ‘Save the Bay Polar Bear Dip’ event to bring concerned citizens together to celebrate International Polar Bear Day on February 27, and raise funds for the effort to stop the project.

Everyone can participate. You can be a polar bear dipper and/or sponsor a dipper who will take the plunge into the frigid, pristine waters of our beautiful Georgian Bay.

To participate as a dipper, simply register for a fee of $20 and sign a disclaimer. Once registered, a personalized webpage will be created for you to share with family and friends, inviting them to sponsor you.

To find out more – how to register, become a sponsor and how to tune into our live stream of the event on your phone, laptop or computer, click on the link below.
