A little bit of festive magic came to town on Saturday, December 4, as Santa paid a visit to kick off the festive season.
In addition to the traditional parade ushering in the jolly old fellow, there were a number of activities held downtown for young and old.
Mother Nature helped with making the event festive with some timely snowfall.
Along with the fun and smiles, the event also showed the generous spirit of the community who filled a bus with non-perishable food items for the Meaford Food Bank. The food drive was organized by the Kinettes Club of Meaford. In addition to the food donated, more than $700 in cash donations were made to the food bank.
