Some weeks ago, I emailed you my feelings about our Premier, who I feel is totally unfit for his position, and colourfully described what I felt were his shortcomings…and they are many.
I appreciate that you responded with a telephone call, but I totally disagree with your very positive views of Mr. Ford.
The Greenbelt fiasco is yet another example of his style. He has stated that “the buck stops with me”, and “I take full responsibility”…but it does not, and he does not. The obvious take is that very few developers buying “soon-to-be designated” land for their projects is a corrupt process.
Your government’s heavy-handed use of the MZO process, whether in Meaford or Mississauga, reminds all of us that the Conservative party has become an authoritarian entity. Please do not phone me, and try to explain how all this is for the greater good.
The vast majority of homes to be built, be it Greenbelt, Meaford or Mississauga will be high-end in size and in selling price, not at all what Ontario so desperately needs.
I guarantee you will not be getting my vote next election.
I am forwarding this to my local newspaper in hopes that it will be published.
