Since the start of the pandemic, Canadian consumers have shifted to online shopping to combat the hurdles posed by COVID-19. Canadian Pet Connection in Meaford enlisted the help of their growing online audience to benefit an important local cause.
Through their “round up” campaign, online shoppers could choose to round up their total to the nearest dollar in support of the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. With over 1,000 generous “round ups”, Canadian Pet Connection collected $1,035.54. A significant percentage of this sum came from local community members.
The Georgian Triangle Humane Society services areas between Wasaga Beach and Owen sound, offering much-needed animal rescue services, low-cost spay and neuters, a pet-pantry program, and more. These funds go directly towards helping animals in our community.
