David Lloyd Burness passed peacefully on January 4, 2026, in Meaford, Ontario; he was in his 91st year.
Dave will be remembered for his steadfast approach to life! His longevity of 90+ years can be attributed to his unwavering dedication to family and community, a well-balanced diet, exercise (golf!), the great outdoors, and a good cold Creemore.
Beloved husband of Helen Burness, caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather to Lynn and Wendy (Carl), Branden, Siena, Danielle, and Zander respectively.
He will be greatly missed for his wisdom on all subjects far and wide, and his sense of humour that was always present as an undercurrent to his seriousness. He will also be missed for his generosity toward the Brookside condo community where he and Helen lived.
As Dave wished, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in his honour in Spring 2026 in Meaford.
