National AccessAbility Week – Meaford’s Accessibility Committee

On behalf of the Municipality of Meaford, we want to thank you all for following along with us in celebration of National AccessAbility Week. To wrap up Day 5, we want to highlight the ongoing work and commitment of the Municipality of Meaford’s committed volunteers on the Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC).

This dedicated group of volunteers provides advice to Council on programs, policies, and services provided to persons with disabilities and seniors. This committee meets at least six times per year to discuss accessibility efforts in our community, and provides their perspective and input into many local accessibility initiatives. In the future, this group hopes to continue to champion additional accessible initiatives in the community such as access paths, walkable community initiatives, and other exciting accessible features.

The Municipality of Meaford is grateful to have such thoughtful, caring, and motivated individuals working towards the betterment of our community. Thank you!
