Municipality of Meaford Observes National Veterans’ Week & Remembrance Day

The Municipality of Meaford extends its deepest gratitude to all veterans and active service members as we enter National Veterans’ Week from November 5 to 11, and approach Remembrance Day on November 11. This significant day offers us the opportunity to honour those who have bravely served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

In an unprecedented tribute to our veterans, the Meaford Legion’s annual Remembrance Day Parade and Ceremony will bring together 200 troops for one of the community’s largest gatherings of service members in our history. On Monday, November 11, residents are invited to join the observance as we honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice, remember our veterans, and show gratitude to our active service members.

  • 10:30 a.m.: Parade begins (Sykes St. N.)
  • 11 a.m.: Ceremony at the Cenotaph (in front of Meaford Hall on Sykes St. N.)
