Meaford Farmers’ Market Gearing Up For 2023 Season

With the long, cold winter months now just a memory, and with the first crops being planted in the ground, the Meaford Farmers’ Market organizers are looking forward to the beginning of a new market season. The Friday afternoon markets at the harbour over the summer months have become a weekly tradition in Meaford, and vendors and market patrons alike are eager to see the return of the Friday markets.

The Meaford Farmers’ Market returns to the Rotary Harbour Pavilion on Friday afternoons, beginning on June 2. The market has been running for the past 17 years, and organizers are busy preparing for the new season.

One of the tasks for organizers is to find vendors.

We want to revitalize it and are looking for new and past vendors of local produce, home grown meat, poultry, dairy, fish, and other food stuffs the vendor produces/catches themselves,” said market organizers.

Vendor spots are available on a single, four week and seasonal basis.

Located at the Rotary Harbour Pavilion, the Meaford Farmers’ Market showcases some of the best tastes, arts, crafts, and sounds that Meaford and the surrounding area has to offer.

The market will be open on Friday afternoons from 3-7 p.m., and will run for 17 weeks, beginning June 2, through to October 6.

This year’s Christmas markets will be held Saturday, November 25 and Saturday December 9 from 11 a.m. To 4 p.m., at the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Center, 131 Collingwood Street.
