Do you support TC Energy’s Pumped Storage Project for the money it will bring to town? Or do you oppose TC Energy’s Pumped Storage Project for the love and long-term health of all who live in and around Georgian Bay?
An even more important question to ask is, how much do you really know about this project?
Have you reviewed TC Energy’s original agreement with the Municipality in 2020? Scrutinized the Initial Project Description registered with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada in April 2026? Read the Pre-Development Agreement drawn up by TC Energy and about to be signed by Council?
On the other side, have you examined the many voices of opposition including Save Georgian Bay, Escarpment Corridor Alliance, Ontario Rivers Alliance, Georgian Bay Association, and the eight townships and municipalities around Georgian Bay?
Whichever side of the fence you’re on is personal. But I believe you owe it to the community to have an informed opinion, because this project is the most important issue EVER facing Meaford.
We’re in the throes of an election. Before you vote, should you not ask every person running for Council, ‘Where do you stand on the TC Energy project, and why?”
