Local Author to Visit Meaford Public Library

The Meaford Public Library will welcome local romance author Kendra H. Slee to the library on Sunday, February 12, at 1:30 p.m.

Slee will be sharing her debut novel A Love to Last. It centres on the lead, Madison, trying to escape her past by moving to a new town and beginning a new job as a groundskeeper of a golf course. A romance unfolds as she begins to relax and enjoy life only to have it threatened by personal histories and insecurities.

Readers might recognize the setting of A Love to Last as it is based in Meaford. Familiar landmarks make appearances such as the Leeky Canoe Pub, the harbour, the downtown core and more.

Slee is no stranger to Meaford either. She previously wrote for The Meaford Independent newspaper (Kendra’s Chronicles) about her travels. Currently, Slee is a secondary school teacher living in Southampton, a mom to an almost two-year-old, and is an avid athlete, traveller, and reader.

This is a free event, but space is limited. Please register in advance at the Meaford Public Library.

Signed copies of A Love to Last will be available for purchase for $20 at the event, cash only.

For more information, please contact the Meaford Public Library at 519-538-3500, or email libraryinfo@meaford.ca
