The Sydenham And District Optimist Club is holding their annual Canada Day Celebrations on June 30 at the Annan ball park in downtown Annan. This is the twenty-second year that this event has been held by the Optimist Club. The club will be assisted by the Junior Optimist Club of Owen Sound.
The event will include kids games and crafts, a clown, raffle table, share the wealth draw, and fireworks. Music will be provided by that famous band The Mill Pond Project. Hamburgers, sausages, and drinks will be available. Admission is free and donations are appreciated.
The Optimist Club supports youth projects in the local area such as the new playground at Hibou Conservation Area and is currently working on an accessible picnic table at Fred Raper Park in Meaford.
