The Meaford Public Library and the Municipality of Meaford Accessibility Advisory Committee are pleased to present “Vue sur un Périple” or “With the Wind and Wave” on Thursday, June 1 at 2 p.m. in the Friends of the Meaford Library Room at the Meaford Public Library.
Along with other activities throughout the week, the Municipality of Meaford and the Meaford Public Library are recognizing National AccessAbility Week, Sunday, May 28 to Saturday, June 3, with the documentary film “With the Wind and Wave”. This film features two visually impaired friends, John and Ginny, who want to continue living their passion for sports despite their disability. Cycling, swimming, skiing, running, sailing… practising these activities requires them to show incredible determination. It begins with their dedication to training in Toronto and accompanies them on an exhilarating cycling journey across Georgian Bay. Viewers will spot some familiar sights as the film was partially filmed in Meaford. This documentary is in French but will have English subtitles.
A special guest will be in attendance. Producer Anne-Marie Rocher will be at the viewing to introduce the film and answer questions.
