On Friday, March 7, 2025, Meaford Hall will host a special International Women’s Day event titled ‘A Feast of Inspiration: Women, Stories, and Flavours’, from 1 – 5 p.m. This unique event will celebrate the strength, resilience, and creativity of women through inspiring storytelling, community connection, and delicious culinary offerings.
The event will kick off with an empowering panel discussion featuring six remarkable women from diverse backgrounds. Each speaker will share their personal journey of triumphs, struggles, and perseverance in the face of adversity. Following the panel, there will be an interactive Q&A session where attendees can engage with the speakers and ask questions. These powerful stories of resilience will highlight the incredible contributions of women in our community and beyond.
Following the panel discussion, guests will have the opportunity to explore a vibrant marketplace featuring women-owned businesses. The marketplace will showcase a wide range of products, from artisan crafts to innovative services, and offer attendees a chance to shop local and support women entrepreneurs. Additionally, there will be culinary delights to sample, highlighting the diverse flavours and talents of women in the culinary arts.
The event is hosted in support of the Meaford Culture Foundation and the Meaford Hospital Foundation, two vital organizations working to enhance the cultural vibrancy and healthcare services in the Meaford community. All proceeds from the event will benefit these foundations, helping them continue their important work.
A new element added this year is the ‘Total Refresh’ raffle, a one-of-a-kind experience that promises to transform your life from head to toe. The lucky winner will receive a complete makeover package worth over $5,000, which includes a series of luxurious experiences and services designed to refresh and rejuvenate every aspect of their life.
