Call for a Volunteer – Inter-Township Fire Department Joint Board of Management

Do you have expertise, experience, or energy to share? Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? The Municipality of Meaford is seeking one volunteer to participate on the Inter-Township Fire Department Joint Board of Management (‘Fire Board’).

Applications and a full position description is available online at www.meaford.ca/appointments or can be picked up at the Municipal office at 21 Trowbridge Street West. The deadline for applications is Friday, November 3, at 4 p.m.

Applicants must live, work, or own property or business in the Municipality of Meaford and must be at least 18 years old. Applicants must not be employed by the Municipality of Meaford, the Township of Georgian Bluffs, or the Inter-Township Fire Department.

Inter-Township Fire Department Joint Board of Management

The Fire Board provides oversight and management of the Inter Township Fire Department that provides fire suppression services to the geographic Township of Sydenham and the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The Board is comprised of members of Council and members of the public from Meaford and Georgian Bluffs.

Required: 1 volunteer

Meetings: 4 times a year and as required, Tuesday afternoons
