The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library (OSNGUPL) is once again accepting used book donations beginning May 4.
“Thank you for thinking of us for your donations! We appreciate your kindness and generosity!” said the library. “Please help us to be able to continue to offer this service to our community. The Library does not have the facilities to dispose of items that are in poor condition so please be kind when choosing what to donate. Due to space constraints and the new recycling guidelines, we have a limit of two boxes (50 books) per week, per household.”
The Library is happy to accept the following materials in clean, saleable condition for children, youth and adults:
-
Hardcover books
-
Paperback books
-
Music CDs in original case
-
DVDs in original box
As a guideline, the items listed below do not sell well, so they are unable to be accepted:
-
Reader’s Digest condensed books
-
Magazines
-
Textbooks & computer books
-
Encyclopedias
-
Video, music cassettes & albums
“We welcome your donations, with the understanding that donated materials become the property of the Library and are added to the collection, sold, or otherwise discarded at the Library’s discretion,” said the library.
Donations are accepted during library hours.
