The Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) is inviting applications from members of the public to fill the recently declared trustee vacancy for the Township of Southgate and Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The successful candidate will serve the remainder of the 2022 – 2026 term working in collaboration with eight previously elected trustees and one appointed First Nations trustee, to support local public education in accordance with BWDSB’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan. Through effective governance, trustees advocate for the success and well-being of all students throughout the board and collectively oversee the responsible stewardship of board resources.
While the current vacancy is for Southgate/Grey Highlands, candidates living in any community within Grey and Bruce counties are eligible to apply. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 4, with an interview process for shortlisted candidates to follow.
