The Owen Sound and District Junior Optimists are hosting ‘Art in the Park’ at Hibou Conservation Area on June 4, 2 – 4 p.m.)
This event is in support of the Optimist Club of Sydenham & District’s Grand Opening of the Optimist Inclusive Playground. The Junior Optimists will have games and activities for the children as well as an Indigenous reconciliation activity.
Members have been making items for their ‘Art in the Park’ fundraiser and will have pallet Canada Flags, bird feeders, maple syrup, and much more available to purchase. In addition, there will be a silent auction of larger items such as a live edge bench, a driftwood coat rack, and baby quilts. Art will be shown on the Owen Sound and District Junior Optimists Facebook page.
Fundraising proceeds will support the Orange Shirt Society, Grey Bruce Pride, and a refugee family from Ukraine, with a goal of $500 for each cause.
