On November 2, 2017 at approximately 3:26 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of human remains found on the shoreline of Georgian Beach Road North in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police have confirmed that the found remains are that of a human.
The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) with the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit continue to search the area.
The Grey County OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS), Ontario Forensic Pathology Services – Forensic Anthropology, and the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario are continuing the investigation.
The investigation is in the early stages and no further information is available at this time.
