The Goldenaires Women’s Choir had the honour of presenting GBCS’s music department a donation of $700 on Tuesday, June 6.
“The Goldenaires fund-raising effort was kicked off by a generous donation from Helen Crowston, our accompanist. Over the ensuing rehearsals the choir donated money each week to raise money to add to the donation,” said the Goldenaires.
The Goldenaires also had a fund-raiser concert on April 30, which showcased talented student musicians from GBCS Elementary String Orchestra.
“We received many compliments about the students’ performances and conduct. We thank Mrs. Pedlar for her efforts in preparing and organizing her orchestra so they could participate and enhance our spring concert,” said the choir.
The Goldenaires are accepting new members. We are a welcoming, inclusive group of women who enjoy singing. To join, you don’t have to be experienced or even read music. Open to all women 15 years or older*.
