The 2026 road construction season is beginning to take shape. Most project tenders have closed, and Grey County is investing millions into the county road network through construction and resurfacing, bridge rehabilitation, and surface repairs.
Several projects are planned for the 2026 season. Project timelines could change depending on weather conditions and other delays. All project details, including planned closures, will be added to Municipal 511, the mapping tool Grey County uses for sharing road information. The tool can be found online at roads.grey.ca.
Grey County reminds all motorists and road users to plan routes in advance and allow extra time to safely reach destinations when travelling through a planned construction zone. Pay attention to signage and the directions of traffic control personnel, follow detour signage, and be extra cautious in areas of active construction where workers are present.
