Construction at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre

The Commanding Officer of the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre (4 CDTC) is advising the public of upcoming construction activities at 4 CDTC, Meaford.

4 CDTC recognizes the importance of community cooperation. Without the support of local communities, military members would not be able to accomplish their mission. Local communities provide key supports and services to military members that are necessary and appreciated. Activities on base occasionally impact the local area. While this may be unavoidable at times, 4 CDTC appreciates the understanding of local residents and does not underestimate this very important reciprocal relationship,” said Commanding Officer Lt.-Col. Joe Tobin.

Contractors will be present on 4 CDTC grounds to conduct construction to return to full service and improve training areas for the Training Center. This project will create critical infrastructure that will enable safe and effective training to continue at 4 CDTC. This construction will run from approximately October 20, to March 2025, and will typically be conducted between 7:30 a.m.and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday; however, extended hours of construction may occur.

Local Meaford residents may notice an increase in noise and heavy trucks/traffic in the area surrounding the Training Center.

The Commanding Officer thanks the public for their continued support to our military community.
