The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have been seeking the public’s assistance to locate a missing person since Wednesday afternoon, today police announced that the man had been located, and that he is deceased. Police have not said where the man’s body was found. Foul play is not suspected.
On December 6, 2023, at approximately 12:45 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce OPP received a report that Jason, 38 years-of-age was believed to be in the Bognor Marsh area. The man was last seen on December 2, 2023, in Peel Region.
Residents saw an increased police presence in the Bognor Marsh area during their search on Thursday morning. The OPP requested that residents avoid the area, and noted that there were no public safety concerns.
“The Grey Bruce OPP appreciates the assistance of the media and the public,” said the OPP in a media release issued on Thursday afternoon after the man’s body had been located.
