Driver Found Passed Out Behind Wheel

On Friday, June 28, at approximately 2:48 a.m., a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a parked vehicle on the south shoulder of Hwy. 26 near the 7th Line in the Municipality of Meaford with its four way flashers on. 

The driver of the 2012 Chrysler 20S was found to be passed out in the driver’s seat. When awakened, the officer determined that the driver had been drinking.

The 30 year old Meaford man who was behind the wheel, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 milligrams.  He is to appear in court in Owen Sound on July 25, 2013.
