Regarding the concern for a possible dam failure I am confused. It seems to me that TC Energy proposes the digging of a very large pond with no man made above ground walls to hold back water, so where is the dam that might be breached?
It is interesting to note that the Niagara Falls Hydro Power Plant which has been providing clean power for over 120 years and the proposed Meaford project is based on the same principle of pumping water up and releasing it through turbines when demand is high. Thank goodness the Niagara Falls project wasn’t stopped.
