On Friday, March 27, 2015 at approximately 2:43 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an abandoned vehicle, resting on the driver’s side with the headlights on, in the south ditch on Grey Rd. 18 just west of Grey Rd. 11 in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police attended the registered owner’s residence on Victoria Street in Meaford, only to learn that the vehicle had been stolen unbeknownst to the owner. The silver, 2001 Dodge Caravan had not been road worthy due to mechanical issues and was not insured. The vehicle had been parked at the victim’s apartment complex parking lot for several months prior to the theft.
