$100,000 Raised by Catch the Ace Lottery Round 2

Staff

On December 4, representatives from the Five Foundations that support Grey Bruce Health Services presented a cheque to Gary Sims, president & CEO of GBHS, and Shelley Boyd, MRI Charge Tech, for $100,000. These funds, raised through Catch the Ace GBHS, will support the purchase of a new MRI system at Owen Sound Regional Hospital.

A heartfelt thank you to all who participated in the success of this lottery. The success would not have been possible without the help of our ticket sellers, buyers, volunteers and staff,” said Amy McKinnon, Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation’s Executive Director. “Our Round 2 grand prize winner took home $71,698!” (AGCO License #10570)

Round 3 of Catch the Ace GBHS has begun! The first draw will be held on December 12 at 11 a.m. We encourage all eligible ticket purchasers to join in the fun, right from the beginning. The jackpot grows as tickets are sold.”

The Five Foundations of GBHS are once again working together on this lottery. Funds raised from Catch the Ace GBHS continue to support the purchase of an MRI system at Owen Sound Regional Hospital. The MRI in the Owen Sound Regional Hospital is used over 11,000 times per year on patients from across Grey and Bruce to diagnose a range of medical conditions. Tests done with the next generation of MRI technology will be faster, quieter, and more comfortable for patients, and will provide physicians with higher quality images to aid in more accurate diagnoses.
